  • I am happy.

I work - babysitting some really fun kids.

Money is starting to come in that we don't already have spent. We have made a few hundred dollars more than we needed on bills so we can may a little extra on our credit cards.

I had a few good nights of "girl time" with Exie.

I love Jordan so much and I am so happy that we got married. Right now, he is away at East Coast Encounter making money though. I miss him but it makes me happy that he is with his guy friends, spending some quality time and doing what he loves. He stayed up until THREE IN THE MORNING today talking with Chris W.

I did facepaints on the kids today. I have to go buy a USB port that will read SD cards and then I will put them on here. They are sooo cute.

I'm happy VBS ends tonight. I think it has gone really well and I am so proud of the drama team.

  • New friends, double dates and funny pictures

I love being a married person. We always go out with our other married friends and have such a good time. Double, triple, quadruple dates are the bomb! Haha.

We made some new friends at church a few weeks ago named Mark and Karen. We have so much in common it's weird. For instance... Jordan and Mark BOTH had tumors in their ears as children, had them removed, and now have 95% hearing loss in one ear (although they had them in different ears), they are musicians who like to record and have some quality recording stuff, have at one time served as a worship minister at a church and are married to teachers (or a wannabe teacher). Karen and I BOTH want to be teachers (she currently is one), want 3-6 kids, love crafts, aren't very good cooks, and like photography. We have such a good time hanging out.

We cooked out over at their house tonight and then talked for a few hours. We decided to go to Cold Stone about 9 and it was packed. It was worth it though.

I put a few pictures under my "Photos"... They are so funny and there are some of Exie and Marty in there too :)

  • Thoughts...

Do you know what's a great song? "Slow Dancing In A Burning Room" by John Mayer. It's so slow and sad but so profound. I love listening to it but it makes me depressed. Haha. One of the lines says "It's not a silly little moment. It's not the storm before the calm. This is the deep and dying breath of this love that we've been working on." That... that is what good songs are made of.

I want to put up some pictures that I have taken recently. We found out some fun things to do when you take pictures on the mac and there are some really funny pictures of my family and I.

    Jordan and I are wonderful.

I wish Jordan could find a job that could be steady and he could make a good amount of money. We are really hoping and praying that he will get a call from the public schools in the next couple of months.

Right now, I am working a lot compared to before. I am babysitting every Tuesday and Thursday for 3 year old twins and their 7 year old brother. Man, they are good kids. They are really fun to watch. I took them to Strawberries on 903 Tuesday with Rachel and they had a really good time picking strawberries and looking at the animals. I have a few other places that I would like to take them this summer.

Also, I am sitting for 2 other families in the church off and on. Tuesday I sat for one family for 10 hours then left and went straight to sit for another family for 2 more hours. That is a lot of babysitting! But it is fun. I understand kids, I think. So it makes it pretty easy. I do wish that I had more steady and well paying work though.

Everyone seems to be getting sick. Jordan has been feeling sick the past few days and one of the girls that I sit was feeling really bad today. I hope I don't get sick!

We redecorated our walls a few weeks ago and we finally got all of those picture frames up that we got for the wedding, but we don't have pictures in them! That needs to change this week but I am having a hard time choosing which ones to put up and whether they should be white and black or color or sepia tone or ... so many choices.

Jordan is making some new songs. He is so creative and good at making music. Everything that he makes, I adore. Maybe it's because I love him so much or maybe it's because he truly is an amazing musician. I think it's both :)

You know, I was thinking today of how truly happy I am. There's no place that I'd rather be than with Jordan. I love being married to him, to my best friend. It's awesome. I also realized how disappointed I am at the people who tried to discourage me about getting married. I don't think I would be happy at all if I listened to them.

Also, I really miss my friends from Virginia. :( Brianna and Liz especially. :( Girls, come visit me. I miss you! I really hope they can spend a weekend with me this summer. I don't think they know how incredibly happy that would make me. I really miss Adam too. Everytime I hear one of our Ballroom Dancing songs or hear about Ballroom Dancing or see one of those shows, it makes me really sad. We took a ballroom dancing class together last semester and it was so fun. We hung out a lot then and then, I left. :( I miss you Adam.

Jordan's Birthday is coming up soon. He doesn't want a party. And I don't want to throw him a party that will make him miserable, but I would like to have a get together with our friends that isn't necessarily because of his birthday. I think he would like that.

Jon Foreman (the lead singer from Switchfoot) is also a really good artist. I am listening to his new EP which has a song on it called "White as Snow." The verse that this is based on was used in Tim's sermon last week. Also, this is a great cd if you want some new christian music. I love that Jordan is on top of all of the new music. It's expensive sometimes but I love hearing new and good music.
